Backstory

The longer version, for anyone who scrolled this far.

I'm a UX designer specialising in games and complex tools, with more than 20 years across games and digital products. I started in games in the mid-90s, working through QA, production and design roles on PC and console, and shipped 25 titles along the way. Around 2019 I moved into UX full time, focusing on accessibility, research, and the sticky parts of software people use every day.

The games side never really left me. It shows up in how I think about systems, feedback loops and the texture of an interface. Right now I'm designing and building ArborStack, a platform for consulting arborists that I co-founded with a seasoned arborist. Alongside that I'm experimenting with AI in my design practice and looking for my next big challenge.

Off the clock I'm playing a lot of games, designing 3D prints on MakerWorld, and posting on Bluesky once in a blue moon (which reminds me, I should probably post something again soon...)
